I'm starting the HP 44 swap this weekend on mine. I have all of the parts except rear gears which will be ordered on Monday. Extended arms are almost done, tie rod is done, drag link is not, 35's are in route. What's the point of all this?? If I get done, I will be there and will be bringing a buddy in an XJ on 35's with me. I plan on being done and making it. I need a wheeling trip in a bad way.

I'm planning to drive over for a day run on Saturday. Hopefully I'll have the 9" swapped in by then. Just have to do the gears and figure out how to copy AP in getting the WJ brakes on it. What time do you think the groups will roll out Saturday?

I just pulled a HP30 front end with 3.73s. You can come get the whole thing.

Yep I had planned to take off work on friday, drive up friday morning, and get a good shakedown in on my "new" rig. Hopefully that day won't turn into a chinese firedrill with me scrambling to get ready. But if everyting goes well, some big steps will be taken this week to getting me a lot closer to being trail ready.

I plan on heading up Friday morning too. Not sure how early yet as I'll be getting back from an out of town trip the night before. A shakedown run on my rig wouldn't hurt either as it doesn't look like I'll get a chance to any sooner.

If we can find a good place to sleep thur night I'll come on up ie local hotel or a hotel within an hour or so? If not i'll be down fri. i just don't want to have to drive all night (10hrs) to meet you guys Fri morning. Done that one before and it makes for a rough weekend.

there are plenty of hotels that are right off 40 that are less than 30 minutes from windrock, and there are a few in oak ridge that I'm sure you can get a room in. look at the holiday inn, marriott, and there's another one I can't remember exactly, all on cedar bluff and that's in Knoxville but less than 30 minutes from the snack shack at windrock.
