Dunno where this belongs, maybe in chit-chat cause it's kinda funny.
I got a JY 94'(I think) xj AX-15 and it had the full length output splines and the orig.95'zj auto had the smooth end to fit in the sleeve of the orig. 95' 231.
The pic is the stock auto output.
The vid is how I spun the AX-15 to grind down the output shaft to match the 231. It just shows how I turned the trans. in 5th gear to cut down the end. It had splines all of the way to the end before I started. I figured why cut it off when I could grind it down.

BTW the music was just what was on the radio at the time.
Too funny!
Very Very Creative.
I like it
Thats the new 3.8L V6? Seem a bit underpowered
OMG I think that is the most red neck enginering ive ever seen.
OMG that is awesome
Haha, I should have titled it "18 volt powered ZJ".
I was pissed cause the junkyard a-hole said it would bolt up and I wasn't about to go get another trans. I planned on doing some fab work to get the ax-15 swap to fit, but this had me thinking twice.
Build up process:
Notice how I even went full redneck on it with the use of duct tape around the new clutch disc.
WTF?!?! You my friend are certifiably INSANE!!!
Haha, I watched it again. That is pretty funny.
How about some tech info: The emery cloth wasn't cutting it thats why I was using the 150 grit in the video. Also make sure you put it in 5th gear to keep the rpm up. And use the Dewalt drill in third gear. 15 speed ZJ
