I tried to leave the unibody world but I felt like I was being called back since I moved to Utah last month. I started searching on the local for sale pages for a good 5.9 and found one about 30 miles away in the perfect color. I drove down there yesterday with a buddy to see it and wound up bringing it home! i give you my new project the 98 slate grey 5.9
Current specs:
98 5.9
4" lift fixed lowers / stock uppers
30" A/T tires ( looking for some 32" Rubi take offs )

Was this the one on KSL for 2200?
Yup traded him 2 spare guns I wasn't using for it so I have no cash in it. I'm doing the plenum gasket and related stuff tomorrow since it's got a vacuum leak or something causing a 2500 rpm idle in park or neutral. Overall it's really clean.
Nice...well let me know when you want a tour of SLC.
Will do I'm in West Jordan off 7800s. Where are you at?
fuck ya!!!
I'm over in Sandy off 90th
Lots of progress today got the plenum and intake gaskets replaced along with a bunch of rubber lines that were rotted. Replaced the water pump, thermostat and the neck for it. Gonna drain the oil and finish up the odds and ends tomorrow. Hopefully it will be running much better after all this. The previous owner had a weird love for RTV instead of gaskets so there was a ton to clean off.
Congrats on the score! I still have that 7075 tie rod I bought off you, it is actually too narrow for my TJ, so if you want it back, let me know.
Thanks man. I'd love to get that back from you for sure. I forgot what I even sold it to you for lol.
Got everything wrapped up today on the plenum and intake gasket replacement and man does this thing run so much better!! Can't wait to start daily driving this! Went from a 2500 rpm idle to around 700-800.
Back at GSW then! No excuses living that close!
Awesome man!
