Because this is a Big Bearing 9" axle, the 8.8 trick only works on the Small Bearing 9".
edit: PLUS I had to use a 6 lug rotor since I'm not running the 5 lug pattern.

maybe im missing something but where are your shock mounts for the rear?
Triangulated shocks, they're on the truss
oh, gotcha, thought that was for a limit strap or something
It looks like that maybe too, I know he runs triangulated rear shocks though
I run triangulated shocks (no mounts on the axle yet) and limiting straps. That will all be addressed Tuesday night after work though.
I'm leaving for GSW in 34 hours and the ZJ is just about ready....got more progress done last night. All I have left to do is add a hose to the rear diff breather, repaint the control arms and drive shaft, and then I should be good. Test driving it tonight!!!
Front all back together (hydro wasn't bolted up in picture)
Nice dude, looks good!
X2 of looking good
Very clean. Looks slick!
Nice shot in the monthly Petersen's mag, Tyler!
BTW, it's the Jeep issue, so y'all might wanna pick it up if you're not a subscriber.
What month? The walmart I get my magazines from never takes old ones off the shelf. I've bought so many 2-3 month old magazines before.
Sweet shot in the mag.
Decided to stop at a Port of Entry on the way home from GSW just to see what the ZJ weighed in at.
5340lbs......that's with tools, spare tires, hi-lift, and half-tank of gas. No wonder Chromoly Shafts in my D44 like to break
And that's without any doors
Some pics from the recent Moab trip
Rock Pile on Pritchett....this was the one obstacle that I wanted to conquer this year, it's also the one that made me build up the 9" after blowing up the rear 44 on it. I MADE IT! Video to come
My buddies famous "blow-fish" face. He does this when he is concentrating.
Then the blazer's alternator died, I had to tow him out, and I only had 3 wheel drive (broke an outer chrome-moly). Went to bump that ledge to get up and since there was no power to the passenger front, it completely slid over and if it weren't for that large ass rock under my driver rear, I would've flopped it.
Notice that my back tire isn't touching the ground. The only thing holding me from flopping is that big rock grabbing the inside of my tire.
That's all I've got for now.
Sweet, looks like fun! You got lucky with that rock...
