shocks adding height? doesn't make sense to me. shocks should not support the weight of the vehicle at all, let alone add height. What gives?

but the shock should have no effect on ride height. yes, the shock should control the movement of the spring, but it should be supporting any weight.

He says forget i said it and you still have to go on saying that the shock does not control ride hight. I'm pretty sure he knows he wasnt right, hence the "forget i said that". No lets move on and drop the damn subject. What kind of shocks are you going with? Or did i miss that somewhere in an above post.

yo maxx for your shocks just do like i did with the xj. cut off the stock bolts that go through your shock eyelet or just go buy one that works and weld it straight to the axle tube. sounds week but shock does not have much load to it. plus it improves clearance for rocks. ill post a pic if need be

Little early to be drinking, puma? or is my MC clock wrong.

Lookin good max, are you worried about not running any backing plates for the brakes? The backing plates on my 8.8 aren't straight so i was just going to take them off. just worried about crap gettin in my pads.

I think the 8.8 backing plates are needed to attach the calipers too...if you referring to a dust shield, then nah, im not worried.

It's tough to recognize parody until it slaps you in the face isn't it? The kids here who force us to read their non-punctuated, misspelled, incomprehensible ramblings owe the rest of us a little fun at their expense. Long live puma 297x joint!

I probably have the part's names mixed up. Im just talking about the thin sheetmetal that outlines the rotors. probably called the dust shield, I'm not sure where i got backing plates from.

    Shocks

better pics of it sitting on all 4's

    Total things left to do.
    * Install front diff cover, rear pinion support, driveshafts when it all comes in
    *Put gear fluid in diffs
    *mount other rear shock

Then its "done" to the point it can drive

still need to trim..add some gussets to the control arms...and some other random things..should be rolling by next wed.
