Not really robot related (didn't drive it because the rigs needed to be street legal), but our club had a snow run a couple weeks ago on a seasonal road. It was quite interesting given some of the snow drifts.

This hill climb required a lot of engine

Jake getting out of his XTerra

Ed's TJ with new custom tube fenders

Everyone got stuck at least once

I need to lose a lot of weight, but it came in handy here

I had to shoulder my way through the snow just to get where I was. The drift itself was at least 8 feet or so high, so I'm still standing on a few feet of snow.

Notice the winch line from the TJ going through the snow

No you don't. With the exception of the auto-dimming mirror, pretty much all of the creature comforts of the ZJ are gone.

Lol, Creature comforts? Thats what the tow rig is for, right? I'm thinking about when I finally can have a tow rig, a DD, and just wheel the ZJ.

More will be cut later, don't you worry. But the plan is to still keep the stock roof, B pillars and windshield -- at least until I shatter the windshield.

Its pretty obvious that function is more of the focus on this build vs fashion!

The first and last cut is always the hardest. The first because its a virgin, but the last is the hardest because you always want to cut more off. You better get more beer and get a move on because big dogs is only a month and a few days away.
93ish zj, d60s, 38.5 maxxis, and a bunch of other expensive parts to make them work.

Truck stacks, for when your trucks nuts are just not gay enough anymore.

A little more cut off -- more will be cut later (such as the inner fender). Keeping the rear uni for now because it was in good condition and it saves a bunch of work in redoing spring perches, limit strap mounts, shocks, floors, etc. It will get some more reinforcement, too.

That should help with your departure angle!

I'm jealous of the wood stove. I've been looking for a free one or something on craigslist. Its cold as shit and raining right now and I need to go do some work in the garage...so yeah, heat would definatly help motivate me.

Pretty much. We haven't finalized cage plans yet, but the dovetail should follow the tube going around the back where the gas tank will be (either reusing the ZJ tank or using a free TJ tank for the time being). Mike also wants to chop up the original tailgate to close off the rear so it still is a bit ZJish. But we'll see how everything turns out before doing that.

Oh and the rear is about 18" shorter than factory.
