Hey, New guy here. My name is Brian, from Mesa, AZ. I've been on Jeepforum for the last year and ready to step up to the major league of grand cherokees.

I bought my rig back in March of 08. I was in the process of lifting my 1993 4.slow laredo that my sister gave to me. I decided I wasn't getting enough power out of it, and knew it would only get worse after the lift. So I sold that to a friend and got my 5.9, found her on craigslist.

It was completely stock when I got it and have done a few noobish mods.

    Current:
    Ironrockoffroad 4.5" lift
    8 adjustable short arms
    33x12.50x15 BFG KM1's
    Black steelies
    Custom roof rack
    Cobra bluetooth CB
Personalized plate, IMN4LOW (technically not a mod but still cool)

    In the works:
    Custom front winch bumper
    Custom rear tire carrier bumper
    Custom full interior cage
    Bed lined cladding

Future plans that I'm saving for:
    Clayton Long arm upgrade
    7" coils and shocks
    35x12.50x15 BFG KM2's

    Right? So here we go.

Only picture I have of her when she was stock, it was only stock for a week.

This is right after we got the lift on.

The sister got my windows tinted limo style for my high school graduation.

If you got it flaunt it, right?

Trimmed the fenders so I could actually turn.

Stripped for the new goodies. And took the ugly side cladding off. It doesn't sit that low in the rear, I had my 8.8 and spare tire in the back during that pic.

One of the new goodies is done.

    And one poser wheeling pic.

Thats it for now. Thanks for lookin.

The roof rack is home brew.

As for the 249 I plan on keeping it till it craps out. I'm on a pretty tight budget.

I'm thinking about mounting my hi lift jack in the back of the roof rack where that extra space is. Yes? No?

Looks like your nose is pointing a bit to the sky... what are your measurements front vs back? Is there actually a difference, or is it just the trimming up front?

It's 4.5" of lift in the front and the rear. The first picture had my new 8.8 and spare tire in it because I had just got them. The second picture just has the spare in the back so it's more level now.

Basically the same, I tried many different things and everything cool was already taken. I orginally wanted 5POINT9 but no luck. Typed this in and it was available so I had to grab it.

Eat shit, and variations of the phrase (drink bleach, jump off a cliff and die, etc.), are all the standard welcome on MC.

Aside from being tradition, it makes me feel good to make fun of others.

Took the heep wheelin today with a couple friends. Broke the bolt that mounts the trackbar to the axle then bent the trackbar between a rock and my axle, oops. Tied the trackbar to the axle using my friends belt so it wouldn't scrape on the ground. I limped out to the main road and hitched a tow from my sisters boyfriend. I told him he needs to get a sticker that says Grand Cherokee recovery team, lol. I need a new trackbar, probably gunna go with JKS, I had an Ironrockoffroad one before.

A few pics, didn't take any actual wheelin shots cause I didn't feel like it.

    Ghetto rigged

    Made it back though.

Is there any way of removing the front trackbar completely? Like the clayton 4 link rear?

Because of the way the axle cycles up/down in the stroke of the suspension, there is no way to have a triangulated front which doesn't have bumpsteer, unless you mounted a rack/pinion assy to the front axle. The axle needs that track bar to swing in the arc of the drag link.

We have JKS bars in stock nearly always, if you want to pick one up from the shop. We're on 35th Ave / Thomas.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

PS: Like the roof rack...looks good.

    Update on my jeep
CB and light switches for roof rack.

    Lights wired up.

Disconnect if I ever need to take off the roof rack.

    New trackbar with gussets.

    BIG bolt now.

And got the Disconnects finished so no more zip ties!

Are those Rhino cages in the background in the second pic? Whoever did the fab work on the track bar and the roof rack does some quality workmanship...my compliments to the chef!
